Of the many things living in my iPhone notes app, my baby name list is my favorite. However, of the 30-plus names I have written down, over 80 percent of them are girl names. And of those 80 percent, there’s a significant portion that have double letters. I’m not sure what it is about an Elliott or Cassie—I just love how a double letter name looks on paper, and appreciate the way they can tie a first and last name together in a subtle way.
As it turns out, this trend isn’t unique to my notes app. Double-letter girl names are growing in popularity. They’ve gained traction amongst our editors’ mom group chats, and even with celebrity kids like the Kelce’s. If you’re looking to get in on the naming trend, check out over 80 double-letter girl names that are sweet, classy, and memorable.
